Twelve years ago, Oshkosh Defense unveiled the Global HET. With the exception of configuration, the HET and the M1070A1 are comparable. Compared to the A1, which has four axles, the HET has three. Originally intended for the Al Jaber Group in the United Arab Emirates, Global HET required a tractor unit in order to put the Jobaria MLRS onto it.

A transporter tractor unit is the HET. The M1 Abrams tank is the main item being transported. Apart from its tank capacity, it can also move, transport, and deploy armored bulldozers, armored personnel carriers, and self-propelled artillery, along with many other heavy equipment and vehicles.
