5. Shark Found In Middle of Golf Course
Place: California’s San Juan Capistrano
Year Found: 2012 Estimated Value: *$850
When Sharknado debuted in 2013, we all made fun of it, but it looks that Thunder Levin ended up with the last laugh since perhaps his films weren’t too fictitious after all. A shark did indeed fall from the sky and land close to the twelfth tee of a California golf course (a year before those movies came out, no less).

The two-pound leopard shark fell to the turf at San Juan Capistrano Golf Course, shocking the staff. It turns out that a bird dropped the leopard shark by mistake, and it was recovered alive from the ocean. After putting the bewildered fish in a bucket of seawater and driving it to Baby Beach, cart attendants released it back into its natural home.
