While remodeling their kitchen in Phoenix, Arizona, a couple accidentally stumbled into an odd safe concealed behind the wall. When they opened, they discovered a treasure hunt’s instructions in addition to $50,000 and alcohol.

There was a bottle of 1960s-era Bourbon with the $100 bills. A Guide for the Perplexed, a 1977 book written by E.F. Schumacher, was the last thing in the safe. The book included an outline of each passage, along with an Arizona map and a bingo card with highlighted numbers. The pair has not yet been able to decipher the convoluted series of hints.
