This image, titled “Thanks, I hate it,” was taken during a chicken head nugget tasting test. Americans are accustomed to eating strips of chicken tenders or roundish rectangles of chicken nuggets. Though chicken head nuggets are actually a regular snack elsewhere, a fried chicken head is a bit much for Western taste judges. It’s unclear whether the order in the photo was deliberate or the result of a misplaced McDonald’s order.
