3.We’re Just as Mortified as Her

Although we are not even sure what is going on in this photo or why this fit is so horribly awful, we know that we and the person wearing it feel quite uncomfortable. The pain is evident on the picture like a fashion distress signal. Perhaps that’s it, though; perhaps it’s only the model’s extreme discomfort in this suit that makes the whole fit look poor. The way the cloth seems to battle against itself, producing embarrassing bunches and ugly lines, points to a possible poor tailoring rather than poor design. On the other hand, something about it simply seems improper. It’s difficult to overlook the general fashion disorder; the proportions are incorrect, the fit is dubious. Given how stylish formal attire and suits usually are, this seems odd. For most people, regardless of body type and build, they simply look fantastic. Not once again. This particular group creates a monument to sartorial discomfort instead of a tribute to universal attractiveness of formal attire. The way the model expresses what we are all thinking: this is a fashion experiment gone tragically awry.

4.We’re Not Sure What’s Wrong With This Dress But It’s There

Though it’s difficult to pinpoint the precise reason this garment seems strange and weird, it is most certainly there. Looking at it longer makes it more disturbing, like one of those optical illusions fooling your brain. We cannot be the only ones dreaming of something slightly odd with this garment. Although at first look the ratios seem right, there is an underlying discomfort that becomes more clear with every second. Perhaps it’s the way the cloth hangs or maybe the odd selection of fabrics that clash. This is absolutely fine; wearing anything strange is not intrinsically bad; nevertheless, one should acknowledge the fact that he is wearing something unusual. It’s like when you view abstract art; you may not understand it but you cannot overlook its existence. The garment lives in that awkward place between traditional design and modern fashion, neither totally supporting one side or the other. Anyways, if we saw someone casually walking about in public sporting this clothing, we would be somewhat startled and maybe even slightly offended. We wouldn’t know how to respond. This kind of clothes makes you do a double-take, then a triple-take and still left you wondering what exactly you just seen.
