13. KBC Null
Found Year: 2013.
Keenan, Barger, and Cowie found it.
Place: Lanikakea Supercluster
The immensity of outer space is home to an endless number of heavenly objects. However, there are still (relatively) empty gaps that can be found despite the abundance of objects in the area. These comparatively open regions are known as cosmic voids, and compared to superclusters that do not have cosmic voids, they do not contain as many big galaxies.

The KBC void, the largest known cosmic void in space, is located within the Laniakea Supercluster of galaxies, which includes the Milky Way and its neighbour, Andromeda. The KBC void is not covered by other voids, which typically have widths of between 30 and 300 light-years. The estimated diameter of KBCs is more than 2 billion light-years.
