Total Cost: $15 Billion*
Year Finished: 1994
Previously called the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, this charming railway shuttle that resembles a Disney ride links France and the United Kingdom. However, this tunnel isn’t like any other because it carries people, some animals, and road vehicles like bicycles and motorbikes. Both drivers and passengers can get out of their cars and explore the shuttle once it is on board, even if there aren’t any onboard amenities yet.

On the Chunnel, freight trucks travel a different path and are transported in shuttle trains with the Club Car, a type of passenger carriage. This massive service is run by the Channel Tunnel’s owner, Getlink. The LeShuttle train is approximately 2,540 feet (2,750 metres) in length and is made of stainless steel.
