The British Museum is presently the home of the Phoenix Jewel. The main wearer of the jewel, Queen Elizabeth I, is depicted in a bust on this gold pendant. The jewel, on the other hand, shows a burning phoenix beneath the regal crown and rays monogram. A wreath of green-stemmed and leafy white and red Tudor roses encircles the whole jewel.

The mid-1500s is considered to be the creation date of the enamel and gold Phoenix. The roses were chosen since the House of Lancaster was represented by them. The love that Henry VII and Elisabeth of York shared was represented by the red-and-white roses.
