“Airbag helmets,” often known as inflatable bike helmets, offer a unique solution for biker safety. Though effective, traditional helmets can occasionally be bulky or uncomfortable, which makes some riders choose not to wear them. The goal of inflatable bike helmets is to solve this by providing a more understated, cozy substitute that still offers strong protection in the event of an accident.

The inflated helmet operates on a similar premise as an airbag in an automobile. The neck-wrapped collar is equipped with sensors that track the cyclist’s every motion. The helmet instantly expands to enclose the wearer’s head and function as a cushion against impact if these sensors pick up on the sudden, unusual movements that are indicative of an accident.
