Although bath mats are subjected to a lot of use in bathrooms, they can often withstand this wear and tear for two years. But maintenance is crucial if you want to keep your bath mat looking great. Wash it once a week and hang it up to dry after each shower. Replace it right away if you see any wear and tear indicators, such as thinning or loose fibers.
