Since the late 19th century, flashlights—our reliable sources of illumination in the dark—have been lighting our way. They usually endure for five to seven years. But it’s not only about the exterior; the inside components are equally important. Battery compartments may corrode, and LED performance may decrease with time, particularly if batteries are left within for extended periods of time.
