6. Non-stick Cookware

Duration: 3–5 years
Cost on average: $20–$150*
Cooks all over the world have found that non-stick cookware has changed the game since it entered our kitchens in the middle of the 20th century. Did you know, though, that their non-stick magic only lasts for three to five years? The coating may eventually begin to peel and scrape, particularly if you use metal cutlery, which is strongly discouraged. This could contaminate your culinary creations with undesirable chemicals in addition to affecting their non-stick qualities.
