10. The Crown of St. Edward
Wearer: Elizabeth II, the Queen
Since 1661, the owner
Value Estimate: $39 million
Perhaps the most significant piece in the entire Royal Collection is St. Edward’s Crown. This version of the crown was made in 1661 after the first, made in 1649, was destroyed during the English Civil War. It is very heavy and unnecessarily expensive, made of solid gold with 444 precious and semi-precious stones inlaid throughout.

This piece is valued at approximately $39 million due to its significant historical significance and the costly materials that went into its construction. For ages, monarchs have donned it for their coronations, such as Queen Elizabeth in the 1950s. It really doesn’t get any better than this.
