A country can sometimes be touched by a nice family snapshot taken with an iPhone or Android device. Marta Szulc’s submission of a picture of herself and her two boys fighting over shaving cream proved this point. Szulc entered the image in the 2018 National Geographic “Your Shot” competition.

The two children were pictured in the picture splashing around in a kiddie pool while their mother showered them with shaving cream. National Geographic chose this image from among the 1.2 million taken in 2018 because it embodied what’s great about America: family time and enjoyment. Szulc claimed that in addition to being “crazy,” her family “plays crazy too.”
