A bag of Walmart flour is frequently stuffed somewhere in the pantry. When there’s still plenty remaining, why throw it away? Even flour can go bad, so occasionally bakers might want to store flour in the rear just in case. While high-grade flour can last up to a year, first-grade flour only lasts six months.

It’s possible that flour that seems and smells fine isn’t totally healthy. It might still contain mold and spores, but if it’s past its expiration date, it won’t bake properly either. Considering how inexpensive it is, it’s wise to replace it if you’re doubtful and toss it out.
