Finally Making Progress

After what felt like an endless effort to earn her trust, the dog finally began to show signs of acceptance. She allowed Eldad’s gentle hand to stroke her trembling body, her cries softening as if she was beginning to understand she was no longer in danger. For the first time, she seemed to agree to move toward the cage—a small but monumental step forward in her rescue.
