A fighter jet used in both the Korean War and World War II was the F4U Corsair. This tiny, quick jet offered WWII pilots an advantage against the Axis Powers during the war. The F4U was renowned for its 446 mph top speed and toughness. Out of the 12,571 fighter aircraft that Goodyear constructed, one ended up submerged off the coast of Hawaii.

An engine problem occurred when one F4U was on a regular flight. After safely ejecting it, the pilot landed it in the ocean. The plane started to sink right away, although it wasn’t damaged. Although the F4U was formerly a bomber, those days are long gone, and now it is home to a veritable eel and marine garden.
