Nothing makes a gardener happier than to harvest, wash, and consume fresh veggies without having to pay a penny at the shop. However, bringing unclean, soil-covered veggies into your kitchen isn’t the cleanest thing in the world.

Cleaning your vegetables in your garden will save time and mess. When you go vegetable picking, bring along a small laundry basket or strainer and a pail of water. After placing the vegetables in the basket, submerge them in the water-filled bucket. This will allow you to transport clean vegetables into the kitchen by washing off the loose dirt and filth.
