$594.92 million was spent.
The Magdeburg Water Bridge was constructed in Germany in the early 2000s as a result of architects’ desire to design a bridge that would connect two bodies of water via the water itself. Ships can travel between Berlin and the Rhineland with ease thanks to the Water Bridge. Overlooking the Elbe, the Water Bridge is the biggest canal underbridge in Europe.

The navigable aqueduct is especially useful for large commercial ships, as they no longer have to climb out of and descend into the Elbe. They can just fly over it now. The longest span of the bridge is 248 feet long. The building process took six years, starting in 1997.
