The picture shows that the Friendship Bridge in Nantan, Japan, is not your typical bridge. Outside of Kyoto, Japan, near Yoshi Springs, is a spa resort where Friendship Bridge can be found. As a pedestrian bridge, Friendship Bridge does not link two locations.

Rather, it is a circle with a circumference of 262 feet. Friendship Bridge was created by the Japanese architectural firm Norihiko Dan & Associates. With its view of a wide river, it is intended to help people reflect. Friendship Bridge can be reached via two concrete pathways. The little resort town has grown in popularity as a tourist destination.
