Ultra Defuse Galaxy was the name given to the galaxy when Allan Sandage and Bruno Binggeli identified it in 1984. It is a very low luminosity galaxy that is 65 million light-years away from Earth. The confirmation of the presence of both extremes of dark matter content in these kinds of galaxies was made in 2018.
