121. Kim Jong Un T-Shirt

Price: $5-$10*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: AliExpress
According to Iain Q. Blank on Twitter, he got seriously “trolled by China” when he made this purchase. He wanted to buy a t-shirt with a famous U.S. politician on it; instead, he got a t-shirt with the somber face of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

He bought the t-shirt on AliExpress, a site that has made this list quite a few times. AliExpress is hit or miss, with a lot of buyers complaining about a “bait and switch” when they actually get their delivered item.

122. Red Prom Dress

Price: $100-$200*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
There are a lot of prom dress fails on this list, as girls fall in love with a gown they see online, suspending disbelief and buying it. What they get in exchange is almost always disappointing, hence why you should never buy an important outfit online.

Red Prom Dress @jjackoby14/Twitter
One girl learned that the hard way when she bought a red prom dress online. What should have been a red, lacy, gorgeous dress ended up looking like a wrinkled, cheap trash bag. Sorry, @jjacoby14, better luck next time.

123. Camping Tent

Price: $50*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
Well, if this man wants to keep his head dry while camping, this tent will certainly help him do so. We already know how this happened. This person likely saw this tent online and was amazed and lured in by the price.

He failed to check the dimensions, bought it, and here we are. That said, who was this tent for? It’s too small for a child…perhaps this tent was made for someone whose dog wants a luxury camping experience of their own.

124. White Floral Dress

Price: $50-$100*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
It’s hard to tell whether this fail is worth making this list. Technically, all of the dress’ parts are there, as it is covered in detailed embroidery. That said, the dress on the right (the bad one) does look rather cheap and flimsy.

White Floral Dress @cheezburgerpins/Pinterest
The dress on the right looks a lot more childish than the picture on the left conveyed. While this dress would work for a child attending a fancy, formal event, it just looks silly when it’s on an adult.

125. Olaf’s Frozen Adventure

Price: $15*
Made by: Hallmark
Purchased at: Hallmark Store
It’s hard to tell what happened here; either this error happened in manufacturing, or some prankster took this ornament and turned it into something terrifying. Produced by Hallmark, this Frozen Adventure Ornament features Olaf, a popular character from the Frozen kids’ movie.

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure @cheezburgerpins/Pinterest
Simply switching around the colors of Olaf’s eyes has turned this friendly snowman into something out of a horror movie. His nose missing only makes the effect first—it’s possible this ornament was bought secondhand and came in this strange condition.

126. Floral Jeans

Price: $15-$40*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
These jeans look nothing like the , other than the fact that they do have some white detailing on them. There are so many unanswered questions when looking at this image—for one, why are the jeans so baggy in the waist area?

Floral Jeans @cheezburgerpins/Pinterest
The ad makes it look as though they are tight, but that isn’t the case. Additionally, the flowers look way sloppier in real life, as they don’t lay flat against the legs the way the ad claims they do. This is a total online shopping fail.

127. Bruschetta

Price: $5-$10*
Made by: Local Pizza Shop
Purchased at: Local Pizza Shop
Sometimes, when we order food at a restaurant, we don’t exactly get what we thought we ordered. Such was the case for this person, who ordered bruschetta from their nearby pizza shop.

What came was a burnt, lazy excuse for bruschetta that looked nothing like the picture advertised. No doubt a disgruntled employee was to blame for the bruschetta turning out this way.

128. Cookies & Cream French Toast

Price: $6.99*
Made by: IHOP
Purchased at: IHOP
One person online posted about their experience at IHOP, a pancake house known for its pancakes, waffles, French toast, and more. They ordered the Cookies and Cream Stuffed French Toast, which looks super-delicious on the menu.

In exchange, they got this sad excuse for French toast, with a very unappetizing-looking chocolate swirl on top. While it’s always dicey to send things back, this definitely deserves to be refunded.

129. M&M Ice Cream Sandwich

Price: $1-$2*
Made by: M&M (Mars)
Purchased at: Ice Cream Truck
Well, this wasn’t exactly what was ordered, though we’re sure this sweet treat will still give this person the kick of sugar he or she craves. This M&M ice cream sandwich looks a lot more delectable on the front of the packaging.

Alas, the factory that made these ice cream goodies skimped on everyone’s favorite rainbow-colored candies. On this sandwich, there is a lone red and green M&M, nothing more. What a disappointment (we’d still eat it, though).

130. Good Humor Bar

Price: $5-$7*
Made by: Good Humor
Purchased at: Grocery Store
While you’d be a tad naïve to assume that products will look exactly as good as they do on the front of the box, this is a tad ridiculous. Come on Good Humor, get it together. One person bought a box of Toasted Almond Good Humor bars.

Good Humor Bar r/mildlyinfuriating/Reddit
But, the “toasted almond” part was far less than satisfactory, as there was only a smattering of almonds on the bar. As the caption put it, “This is…nuts.” Hopefully, future batches of these sweet treats looked a little better.

131. Firecracker Shrimp Cavatappi

Price: $5-$10*
Made by: Undisclosed
Purchased at: Grocery Store
With a sassy food name like “Firecracker Shrimp Cavatappi,” you know this dish has to be, well, better-looking than it is. According to the left text, this 1,970-calorie dish involves cavatappi pasta, sriracha shrimp, zucchini, and more.

Firecracker Shrimp Cavatappi r/ExpectationVsReality/Reddit
While the dish on the left looks delicious, the “in reality” one on the right…not so much. This doesn’t look anything close to what is pictured, and we’d be annoyed if this is what came out of the microwave as a result.

132. Stitch Cake

Price: $10-$20 to make*
Made by: A (Frustrated) Baker
Purchased at: N/A
To be fair, the cake on the right looks like something our blue, alien friend from Lilo & Stitch would make. This Stitch cake didn’t turn out as planned, though it definitely does look like a blue, pink, black, and white creature.

Stitch Cake r/ExpectationVsReality/Reddit
He’s sort of cute in his own way, and we don’t think Disney will be going after this baker for licensing any time soon. The cake on the right, while technically a pudgy fail, still has its charm, the longer you look at it.

133. Variety Candy Pack

Price: $2-$4*
Made by: Candy Company
Purchased at: Undisclosed
We’re willing to bet this pack of candy cost only a few bucks, and lucky it’s cheap, as this isn’t exactly a fair buy. One person bought a pack of “variety” sweets in the hopes of getting an even dose of flavors.

Variety Candy Pack r/mildlyinfuriating/Reddit
Rather than get cherry, orange, and watermelon, when he opened the pack, all there was were orange candies and one sad, lone green one. Hopefully, this purchaser likes orange, or else he is up a creek, as the saying goes.

134. Oreo Ice Cream Bar

Price: $5 per pack*
Made by: Good Humor
Purchased at: Ice Cream Truck, Probably
Good Humor strikes out again on this list, as we already put a few of its confections on here for not being what was advertised on the package. In this case, the culprit here is an Oreo Ice Cream Bar.

Oreo Ice Cream Bar r/ExpectationVsReality/Reddit
It’s barely close. Rather than a luscious coating of America’s favorite cookie, all we see is a chocolate coating with a few sparse Oreo crumbles. This isn’t exactly what was advertised, though we’re sure it still at least tastes like ice cream.

135. Freschetta Pizza

Price: $6.79*
Made by: Freschetta
Purchased at: Grocery Store
Freschetta is a brand of pizza that usually gets pretty good reviews from its customers…save for this one, it’s safe to say. Freschetta struck out with this product offering, which looks as though it is the result of a factory error.

Freschetta Pizza r/ExpectationVsReality/Reddit
This frozen pizza is a totally misshapen, barely-square offering. In addition to being squashed, it also has uneven pepperoni placement, a cardinal sin when it comes to pizza. If we were this customer, we’d return this item.
