Reason: To keep the monarchy’s reputation intact, control the narrative, and safeguard privacy.
Exceptions: Officially sanctioned biographies or memoirs
The personal stories of the royal family are mostly unwritten. Even though many people could be enthralled by their stories, royalty members are discouraged from writing autobiographies. This has to do with control, as well as tradition. The goals are to protect privacy, uphold a consistent public image, and steer clear of any misunderstandings or conflicts that might result from unrestricted disclosures.

Still, there are certain exceptions. After careful selection to ensure palace viewpoints, authorized biographies or memoirs may be allowed. This sensitively maintains the delicate balance between private contemplation and public impression.
