15. Studying the National Anthems

Reason: Fostering diplomacy and showing respect for other countries during official visits.
Exception: Children or recent inductees into the royal family
The royals frequently attend state dinners, formal ceremonies, and other noteworthy events when representing the United Kingdom overseas. Respecting and appreciating the customs of the host nation is a crucial component of these interactions. Recognising and learning national anthems is one way to do this. The royals use this to show their respect for the countries they visit and to underline how crucial it is to have solid diplomatic relations.

There are, however, a few exclusions. Some wiggle room is allowed because younger royals or those who are new to their royal duties may not have had the chance to memorise every anthem. Nevertheless, the act itself says volumes about the level of dedication to global diplomacy.
