Another name for the Guardian Angel Air-Deployable Rescue Vehicle is the Storm Search and Rescue Vehicle, or SRTV. The Guardian Angel competition, named for the combat rescue and pararescuemen known as the Guardian Angel Weapon System, saw the SRTV emerge victorious. The United States Air Force Pararescue will make use of the Storm SRTV.

Thus far, only one test vehicle has been created; it is manufactured in Geneva, Ohio, by HDT Global. Three patients or survivors can be transported in the vehicle at once. Although testing is ongoing, the Guardian Angel’s top speed of 100 mph and 3,730-pound cargo capacity are already quite astounding.
