106. Black Sabbath Hat

Price: $7*
Made by: Amazon Seller
Purchased at: Amazon
Knowing the rock band Black Sabbath, they’d probably find this funny. Black Sabbath is one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time, and they’ve sold millions in merchandise over the years.

Black Sabbath Hat @r/ExpectationVsReality/Reddit
This appears to be a bit unlicensed, as, rather than reading “Black Sabbath,” it ended up reading “Black Sabb***h.” The B-word might not be too shocking to the heavy metal crowd, but it’s not a word you’d want to wear around on your hat in public.

107. This…$850 Laptop?

Price: $850* (Supposedly)
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Walmart
You have to understand the full story behind this image to truly know what makes it so ridiculous. According to the disgruntled buyer, he saved up for months to purchase a brand-new $850 laptop.

This…$850 Laptop? @Pinner62764345/Pinterest
He waited one-and-a-half weeks for it to ship. When it arrived at his house, he opened up the box, only to find three containers of Walmart-brand juice instead of his pricey piece of tech equipment. We really hope he got a refund, in addition to the free juice.

108. Dog-Sized Dress

Price: $10-$20*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online Shop
The source of this image is social media user @KnockoffNightmares, and we couldn’t agree more with their name. This hilarious fail was likely the result of an online purchase that went awry.

Dog-Sized Dress @Pinner62764345/Pinterest
The buyer tried to purchase this lovely, white, embroidered dress in a size extra-large. What she got was a dress so tiny, it could only fit her dog. On the We, her pup couldn’t look any cuter than she does in her brand-new dress.

109. V-Neck Dress

Price: $100-$150*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: The Company’s Facebook Page
If this isn’t deceptive marketing, then we don’t know what is. The woman pictured here saw this beautiful, deep-V gown on the Internet (on the company’s Facebook page, in fact). She rushed to buy it, and, when it arrived, it looked ridiculous.

V-Neck Dress @Pinner62764345/Pinterest
The dress looks more like a prop from a fantasy movie than an actual, serious gown. What’s amazing about this is that it was the company that advertised this dress, knowing full well that it was putting a fake ad onto its Facebook page. The audacity.

110. Silicone Mask

Price: $25-$50*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
This mask is the stuff of nightmares, both on the right and the left. The actual, realistic-looking silicone mask looks like something out of a high-budget horror movie, designed to terrify audiences and have them looking over their shoulders.

Silicone Mask @Pinner62764345/Pinterest
The knockoff mask, which was ordered online, looks like something you’d pick up at the dollar store to scare your little siblings with. While sort-of scary, it’s more terrifying because it’s so corny, not because it’s actually a fright-fest.

111. A $150 Birthday Rug

Price: $150*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
This one has all the hallmarks of an online shopping fail. You can tell that the person who bought this didn’t check the dimensions before loading up their credit card information, and, according to the poster, that’s exactly what happened.

Pint-Sized Playpen @Pinner62764345/Pinterest
A girl and her friends went to buy a $150 rug for her friend’s birthday, but they “didn’t check” the size before buying. It’s crazy that this tiny, albeit detailed and cute-looking, rug was $150, as it’s so tiny.

112. Pint-Sized Playpen

Price: $25-$50*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
While you don’t want a playpen to be too large for your baby, this one is way too tiny. This online shopping fail must have involved the classic “I didn’t check the dimensions before buying” gaffe, which we’ve seen a lot on this list.

Pint-Sized Playpen @Pinner62764345/Pinterest
This baby can’t even turn around in this playpen, so it’ll probably have to be returned or repurposed. To be fair, the infant looks like he’s taking it in stride…he’s more confused than angry.

113. Blue Vest

Price: $10*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
This image was confusing when we first saw it, as the actual product looks completely unlike what was sold. Apparently, the cloth with two holes cut out of it is supposed to be a tapered vest, which was the style back in the 2010s.

Blue Vest @modaparahomens/Pinterest
This is the laziest of the lazy, as far as manufacturing fails go. You can’t just cut two holes in something, ship it off, and expect the customer to make it work. Hopefully, the customer can just return it without question.

114. Blake Lively’s Dress

Price: $100-$150*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
Celebrities spend thousands of dollars on their appearance, including a lot of money on designer gowns. If you see a celebrity wearing something beautiful on the red carpet, chances are, it’s way out of your budget.

Blake Lively’s Dress @LivinLegend/Twitter
So, if you see a dress that a celebrity has worn for just a couple-hundred bucks or less, you can chalk that up to being a scam. Such was the case with this online purchase, with looks less like a designer gown than a Halloween costume.

115. RACISM Sweatshirt

Price: $25*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
On the left, you see a sweatshirt with the caption, “Stop Pretending Your Racism is Patriotism.” This political sentiment inspired one buyer to purchase the sweatshirt, only to find that the company had had an error with its printer.

RACISM Sweatshirt @CloudteesdesignOffical/Pinterest
None of the black lettering had been printed, leaving a sole “RACISM” in bright, unmissable red. Obviously, this can’t be worn outside, and the company likely had to send a lot of apology letters for the misprint when they caught it.

116. eBay Porgs

Price: $5-$10*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: eBay
Wish and Amazon aren’t the only offenders on this list, so is eBay. According to Sarah Dobbs on Twitter, she fell victim to a “switcheroo” on eBay when she went to buy a Porgs toy. Porgs, for those who don’t know, are creatures from Star Wars.

eBay Porgs @SarahDobbs/Twitter
“Expectations versus reality” hit Dobbs hard when she got the Porgs stuffed animal, realizing that whatever she got was a totally new creature, not the one she’d ordered. The knockoff looks more like a combination of penguin, hamster, and owl.

117. Tiny Boots

Price: $15-$20*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Amazon
According to the person who laughingly posted this to Twitter, this purchase was made by her sister, who ordered a pair of lace-up combat boots for her “Halloween costume.” No doubt, she was enticed by the low price of this online buy.

Tiny Boots @cheezburgerpins/Pinterest
When she received the boots, she realized why they were so low-priced, as only a Barbie Doll could fit in them. It makes you wonder whether the seller hid the sizing information as a way to try to dupe over-eager buyers. Who knows?

118. Animal Balloon

Price: $2-$5*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
This balloon couldn’t be lazier, as it seems like the company drew the design onto the balloon with Sharpie and hoped for the best. Rather than blow up into a cute, bear-shaped balloon, the result of this purchase was something else.

Animal Balloon @sophia971922/Pinterest
The design didn’t work at all, and, though hilarious when we saw it on Pinterest, we’d be demanding a refund if we were the buyer, as he or she likely bought these balloons for their kid’s birthday party.

119. Dinosaur Rider Costume

Price: $25-$60*
Made by: Unknown
Purchased at: Online
Some people take their Halloween costume game super-seriously, making sure that they buy the funniest one they can find. This costume, which was purchased online, was supposed to depict a man riding a blow-up dinosaur.

Dinosaur Rider Costume @LesmartGolf/@cheezburgerpins/Pinterest
When purchased, the purchaser revealed that he got a very odd-looking unicorn instead. No word on if he returned it—maybe he just decided to go with a unicorn rider as his getup that year.

120. TV Stand

Price: $10.95*
Made by: Classics
Purchased at: Amazon
According to @brendablancart2 on Twitter, her roommate bought a TV stand from Amazon, and what came was not a full-size TV stand, but a Classics Quality Dollhouse TV Stand for under eleven dollars.

TV Stand @brandeblansart2/Twitter
Seeing the price, what else did she expect? Less than $11 is an incredible price for a piece of furniture. We’d expect a TV stand like that to cost hundreds of dollars, so this error is likely the result of someone being a bit too overeager to shop.
