The Su-30, created by the Sukhoi Aviation Corporation, is another innovation from Moscow. This multirole fighter is intended for deep interdiction missions between aircraft and surfaces, and it is capable of flying in any type of weather. Before the Russian Defence Ministry became aware of the Su-30 in 1996, it was first an internal development project.

The RDF demanded that AFLT build Su-30 aircraft for the armed forces. The Su-30 is in service with the Algerian Air Force, the Vietnam People’s Air Force, the Venezuelan Air Force, and the Soviet Union (and later the Russian Air Force). The models MK1, MKK, and MKM Su-30s are among its variations.
