196. Heart Shaped Reef
Possible Drone Used: DJI Mavic 3 Classic
Where to Buy: DJI.com
Cost: $2,049*
It’s amazing how nature can sometimes form unexpected landmarks that look so perfect, they seem human-made. This reef is known as Heart Reef (for obvious reasons), and it is part of the Great Barrier Reef of the Whitsundays in Australia. The coral composition has formed, naturally of course, into a heart shape.

Seeing it from the air, the way Grant Faint did with this drone photo, is probably the safest way as Heart Reef’s coral is very delicate and protected. A drone like the DJI Mavic 3 Classic, a waterproof drone, could have taken this beautiful image.

Photos like this are powerful, as they help raise awareness of the fact that, according to the Species Survival Network, the Black Sea bottlenose dolphin is under siege from habitat loss and pollution. The Black Sea’s ecosystem has been highly damaged over the years, a fact that should scare us all.
