10. Authorization for Animals
Rationale: To ensure that animals are secure and appropriate in royal homes.
Queen’s traditionally preferred pets, like corgis, are an exception.
Adopting a pet, whether it’s an inquisitive kitten or a joyful puppy, brings immense delight to most people. It’s not so simple for the Royal Family, though. Previously, getting a pet required the monarch’s approval to ensure that the animal fit into the royal lifestyle and the surroundings of the royal house.

It’s not only about upholding the regal reputation; it makes sense. Larger royal estates could be able to accommodate horses or dogs with ease, but it might be difficult to care for exotic pets or creatures with special needs. Nevertheless, it is commonly known that the Queen adores her corgis despite these regulations. Therefore, even though they have had many pets, they may have all received royal approval.
