The flat itself doesn’t appear all that horrible, but one architect went a bit too far with the “open concept” design. Open-concept planning first became popular in the 1970s as a lifestyle choice. Walls were broken down, and the open-minded frenzy of the 1970s persisted into the 1990s.

We doubt that the design trend was meant to spread this far, no matter how popular it may have been. There’s no wall or effort at a boundary in sight in the open-concept bathroom, which features a toilet directly next to the bed. It’s unfortunate because the bedroom is actually rather stylish, aside from that extremely strange decision.
