This boy appears to be half-human and half-butterfly due to the eye on his owl butterfly wing. The big, round eyespots on the hindwings of owl butterflies gave them their name. These amiable insects can be found at conservation sites as well as throughout Mexico, South and Central America. The owl butterfly is the largest in the Americas, with a wingspan of twenty centimeters, making it easy to observe in butterfly houses.
