61. Even Otter Moms Are Over Kids

Possible Camera Used: Panasonic LUMIX FZ80
Where to Buy: Amazon
Avg. Cost: $398*
Chee Kee Teo took this photo, which proves that even otter moms get frustrated with their kids from time to time. Title “Time for School,” this picture features a momma otter snatching up her surprised-looking baby to cart him around.

According to Teo, the mother was bringing her baby to a swimming lesson, biting him on the scruff to move him around efficiently. Her look of frustration and his look of surprise are the two biggest things that make this photo hilarious.

62. Operatic Fish

Possible Camera Used: Nikon COOLPIX W300
Where to Buy: Nikon
Avg. Cost: $390*
This fish looks like he’s about to perform on Broadway. This photo, taken by Chu Han Lin, shows a mudskipper jumping about with his mouth wide open while his friend, who looks just as ridiculous, gapes at him.

Taken in Taiwan, this photo features the strange-looking mudskipper, an amphibious fish that eats beetles, worms, crickets, and even tiny crustaceans. The mudskipper is called the “walking fish,” and it is quite a performative one at that.

63. The New Joker

Possible Camera Used: iPhone
Where to Buy: Apple Store, Walmart, Amazon
Avg. Cost: $500-$1,200*
“Wanna play a game?” This adorable, fluffy, golden dog looks as though he is auditioning for a role as the latest Joker. Move over Joaquin Phoenix! This optical illusion photo features a pup grabbing his smiley ball.

The New Joker Lianne Richards/Comedy Pet Photography Awards
The way he’s holding the ball makes him look as though he has a wide, smiling, white set of chompers. He looks goofier than usual, and we love how he has no idea that his innocent act is creating such a funny photo.

64. This Baboon Is A Tenor

Possible Camera Used: Sony RX10 IV
Where to Buy: Sony
Avg. Cost: $1,700*
“The Baboon Who Feels Like A Tenor” is the title of this image, taken by Clemence Guinard. Guinard, a wildlife photographer, came across this baboon yawning. It looks as though he’s about to burst into song, even though, in reality, he’s just tired.

This photo was taken in the Saudi Arabian Mountains, where this Hamadryas baboon was living with his pack. Put this creature in a makeup and fluffy cape, and he’ll be ready to perform an aria at the theater.

65. Aren’t Eagles Supposed To Be Magestic?

Possible Camera Used: Nikon COOLPIX P1000
Where to Buy: Nikon USA
Avg. Cost: $1,000*
This photo, taken by David Eppley, was sarcastically named “Majestic and Graceful Bald Eagle.” Though bald eagles are thought to be majestic, elegant birds of flight, even they can trip up sometimes, as you can see here.

This bald eagle had been working on a new nest and was, possibly, tired, when he missed his landing, crashing headfirst into a tree. Not to worry, as bald eagles are pretty tough. According to the photographer, this bird of prey was fine after shaking it off with a few “wing strokes” and a “rest.”

66. Shake It Off

Possible Camera Used: Canon EOS R6 Mark II
Where to Buy: Walmart
Avg. Cost: $3,300*
Dawn Wilson took this photo three years ago, and she titled it, “Shaking Off 2020.” That year wasn’t just rough for humans; it was rough for birds, too. Wilson was photographing brown pelicans in the rain in southern Louisiana in early 2021.

She stated that the pelicans were waking up, shaking rain off their bodies, and heading out to fish. Wilson was in the right place at the right time, snapping this picture of a bird who looks like he’s shaking off a rough year.

67. Yay, I Did It!

Possible Camera Used: Fujifilm X-T4
Where to Buy: Amazon
Avg. Cost: $1,950*
Dikky Oesin titled this photograph, “Yes, I Did It,” as he saw what led to this frog emitting a triumphant laugh and beautiful smile. According to Oesin, this little amphibian climbed up a plant, scaling his way to the flower.

Though a minor thing to us, to such a small amphibian, this was a feat akin to climbing a skyscraper. When the frog hit the top of the flower, he gave a “laugh” to celebrate his successful climb.

68. I Hate Baths!

Possible Camera Used: iPad
Where to Buy: Walmart, Apple Store
Avg. Cost: $400-$1,400*
This picture is yet another example, one of many on the Internet, of how much cats hate water. Cats loath water, as wet fur is uncomfortable for them and hard to dry. The wet fur sags and is heavy, making cats less nimble.

Our fastidious friends need baths (sometimes, depending on the breed), but they’ll fight you on it. This cat looks as though he lost the bath battle, and, to him, having to get a wash was like nabbing a starring role in a real-life horror movie.

69. Hitching A Ride

Possible Camera Used: Panasonic LUMIX FZ2500
Where to Buy: Amazon
Avg. Cost: $898*
“Excuse me sir, can I have a ride?” Photographer Dirk-Jan Steehouwer caught a monkey hitching a ride onto a giraffe, titling his picture, aptly, “Monkey Riding A Giraffe.” This monkey was apparently part of a group that was playing on sparse trees.

When the giraffe crossed through, the monkey saw his opportunity to hitch a ride, hopping onto the back of the amiable giraffe. Hey, it’s a pretty convenient way to get around the hot grasses of the Sahara.

70. Kissing A Tree

Possible Camera Used: Sony Alpha 1
Where to Buy: Sony
Avg. Cost: $6,500*
Really, we could have an entire list of funny animal photos dedicated solely to monkeys. Jakub Hodan’s “Treehugger” starred this monkey, which appears to be hugging and kissing a tree. Or, at least, pressing his snout against the tree firmly.

Kissing A Tree Jakub Hodan/ComedyWildlifePhoto
Trees play a pretty big role in monkeys’ lives, so, as Hodan put it, “Who are we to judge?” The proboscis monkey was likely scratching his nose against the rough bark or giving the tree a good sniff, trying to figure out who else climbed it. Or maybe he’s in love, who knows?

71. Angry Lion

Possible Camera Used: Samsung Galaxy S5
Where to Buy: Walmart
Avg. Cost: $70*
If you want to enrage your cat and get a funny photo at the same time, buy your feline friend a lion’s mane. You can find them on Amazon or at Target for cheap, and they strap onto your cat’s head without being too tight.

The result is an angry, chonky lion such as this one. This cat looks as though he can’t believe his owner would have the audacity to do this to him, Halloween be darned. Though not funny to this kitty, we humans can’t stop laughing.

72. Leaf To The Beak

Possible Camera Used: Sony a9 II
Where to Buy: Sony
Avg. Cost: $4,500*
This pigeon was perched comfortably in autumn when he got a rather harsh reminder that summer had come to an end, hence the title of this photo: “I Guess Summer’s Over.” We have John Speirs to thank for this funny picture.

Leaf To The Beak John Speirs/ComedyWildlifePhoto
This pigeon was about to take flight when he was thwarted by a dead leaf, which smacked him in the face and blocked his eyesight. Considering how annoying pigeons are for humans in cities on a daily basis, this picture seems like a bit of harmless justice.

73. Stuck Together

Possible Camera Used: Canon R5
Where to Buy: Canon Global
Avg. Cost: $3,400*
This mother and her baby racoons are squeezed into a tight tree space in this photograph snapped by Kevin Biskaborn. These Eastern racoons struggled to fit together, and, according to Biskaborn, they were clambering over each other to see what he was doing with his camera.

Ontario, Canada is home to quite a lot of wildlife, including not only raccoons, but also moose, wolves, lynxes, polar bears, black bears, coyotes, beavers, and many, many more creatures in need of environmental protection and conservation.

74. Singing A Solo

Possible Camera Used: Nikon D850
Where to Buy: Nikon USA
Avg. Cost: $2,800*
We do love a dramatic solo. Kangaroos are funny creatures. Though they are usually leaf-eating, placid, and shy, some can get rude and aggressive if they feel that people are bothering them…especially when they are bothering them during their solo.

Singing A Solo Lea Scaddan/ComedyWildlifePhoto
Taken by Lea Scaddan, who titled this photo, “Operatic Warm Ups,” this kangaroo looks as though he is right in the middle of “The Hills Are Alive” from The Sound of Music. Julie Andrews, eat your heart out.

75. Giggling Grey Seal

Possible Camera Used: Nikon D7500
Where to Buy: Nikon USA
Avg. Cost: $1,000-$1,400*
Photographer Martina Novotna was, by her own admission, “lying on a rocky beach for hours,” trying to remain “as motionles[s] as possible.” She was there to photograph gray seals in their natural habitat, and photograph she did.

Giggling Grey Seal Martina Novotna/ComedyWildlifePhoto
This seal pup, pictured here, came ashore to take a rest, sleeping for hours on his chosen rock until the tide displaced it. This picture was taken when the pup yawned, though the yawn looks a bit more like an adorable giggle than an actual expression of sleepiness.
