With 1,146 constructed between 1961 and 1972, the Northrop T-38 Talon is not only the world’s first supersonic trainer but also the most produced aircraft of its type. The Turkish Air Force, NASA, the Navy, and the USAF are the next four agencies that use Talons the most. These Northrop Grumman aircraft are frequently flown by NATO pilots in training missions alongside USAF soldiers.

The F-5 is regarded as a Talon derivative, while the T-38 Talon was created from the N-156. Over fifty years have passed since the USAF, the aircraft’s initial operator, put the two-seat, supersonic twinjet jet trainer into service.
