Although it stopped manufacturing in 1988, the US Air Force continues to use the Rockwell B-1 Lancer in combat. manufacturing of the Lancer began in 1973. A heavy bomber is the Lancer. One of the USAF’s three primary strategic bombers as of this year, after the BUFF and Spirit, it is frequently referred to as the “Bone.”

General Electric is the manufacturer of all the engines in the Lancer. Rockwell International entered and emerged victorious in the Lancer design competition with their fast, high-payload designs. Boeing would eventually purchase Rockwell.
