Never before has a wine droplet looked so spectacular. This image of a droplet of wine falling into a glass was captured by a high-speed camera. For something so ordinary, the black and white photo is strangely captivating. This picture may give you the impression that it was taken with a high-end, thousand-dollar camera, but The Dark Room dispels that notion.

The camera used was a Canon P3200 Rebel Xs, which is a “cheap” camera that you can get for $15 on eBay or other used websites. A Rebel will work just fine for this; if you wanted to capture something moving faster, like a hummingbird’s wings, you’d probably need a more expensive camera.
