A long-exposure camera, sometimes referred to as a slow-shutter camera, is able to catch stationary features in photographs while smearing, blurring, and hiding moving elements. A fantastic example of such is this 2016 shot that bends reality.

Everything surrounding the immobile object, including the busy city, is blurry, while it is semi-clear. Even though there is only one still image in the picture, it appears to be in motion all the time.
