Possible Drone Used: DJI Inspire 1 Pro
Where to Buy: Amazon
Cost: $2,199*
This photo was listed in the Drone Photography Awards’ “People Commended” category in 2021. Taken by Sujon Adhikary, this picture is titled “Sailor of Red Chilies Sea,” no doubt a reference to the way the chili pepper fields look like a red, segmented ocean.

In the picture, a farmer is bicycling home through these fields of chilies, which are laid on tarps to dry in the Panchagarh, Bangladesh fields. The harvesting season lasts for two months in Panchagarh during the spring, and everyone, from little kids to the elderly, works to harvest as many chilis as possible to keep the town’s economy going strong.
177. Glacial River System
Possible Drone Used: DJI Mavic Air 2 Fly More Combo
Where to Buy: Amazon
Cost: $1,168*
Photographer Attila Csipe took this stunning picture of a massive riverbed and delta. This glacial river system transports deposits from Vatnajokull, a glacier in Iceland. Mighty Vatnajokull is the largest, most voluminous ice cap in the county (as well as the second-largest in Europe after Novaya Zemlya).

Vatnajokull covers 8% of Iceland, so, as you can imagine, glacial rivers carrying deposits from it are also huge. This photo might have been taken with a DJI Mavic Air 2 Fly More Combo, a drone that Extreme Fliers labeled as “one of the best…for cold weather.” It gets quite chilly in Iceland, and a drone needs to stand up against that weather to take such stunning snaps.
178. Dubai Skyline
Possible Drone Used: Parrot Anafi
Where to Buy: B&H Photo Video (Used)
Cost: $600*
Taken by social media user @travelwild, this aerial view shows off the crown jewel of the United Arab Emirates: Dubai. Few skylines are as majestic as Dubai, a city that pops up as an ultra-modern oasis in the middle of sandy, harsh desert. The photo’s contrast is enhanced by the lone figure walking the road into Dubai.

It gets hot in Dubai (it is in the Middle East, after all), and a potential drone that could have been used to snap this photo is the Parrot Anafi, a drone that X-Naut called one of the “best…for summer.” The Anafi is rugged, and it will go with you on all your adventures.
179. Green and Yellow Rice Fields
Possible Drone Used: Skydio 2+ Pro Kit
Where to Buy: Skydio
Cost: $1,969*
Photo contributor @fulltimegipsy submitted this image of fresh yellow and green rice fields in Longsheng County, China. Ping An Village is famous for its rice fields, and, of all the Longji Rice Terrace villages, Ping An is the most visited. There is even a scenic walking trail that will take you through the fields from Ping An to Ancient Zhuang.

The trail takes 1.5 hours, and, though you won’t get the amazing aerial shots of a drone, the tour is still quite lovely. A potential drone that could have been used for this photo is the Skydio 2+ Pro Kit, a well-liked drone that caught peoples’ eyes in 2022.
180. London City Lights
Possible Drone Used: DJI Inspire 2
Where to Buy: DJI Drones
Cost: $5,299*
London is England’s capital and one of the most famous cities in the world. Within 607 square miles, just under nine million people live and work. Not to mention, London brings in millions more tourists every year who go to see its highlights, such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Thames River, the London Eye, and more.

That said, the aerial views of London are incredible at night, when all you can see are the lights from this massive city. Photo contributor @Zenobillis took this shot, possibly on a DJI Inspire 2+, a drone that gets 16,500 feet with its high-altitude props.
181. Traffic on Elisabeth Bridge, Budapest, Hungary
Possible Drone Used: DJI Air 2S
Where to Buy: Amazon
Cost: $999*
Elisabeth Bridge is Budapest, Hungary’s third newest bridge, and it connects Buda and Pest as it crosses the River Danube. The bridge is located at the Danube’s narrowest part in the Budapest area, and crossing the bridge is a way to see all the sights that Hungary’s historic capital has to offer.

As you can see, Elisabeth Bridge can get quite busy. This top-down aerial view shows midday traffic on Elisabeth Bridge. Though not as bad as it would be during “rush hour,” you can see how cars could quickly pile up on this narrow bridge. This photo might have been taken with a DJI Air 2S ($999 on Amazon).
182. Rows of Soil Before Planting
Possible Drone Used: Sony Airpeak S1
Where to Buy: Sony Electronics
Cost: $999*
What we love most about drone photography is the way that it takes a mundane scene and turns it into something magical in its patterns. Social media user @Thongsuk7824 took this photo of rows of soil before they are used for planting. This photo was taken in the spring, the time where new flowers and crops burst to life.

A drone like the Sony Airpeak S1 might have been used to take this image, which shows the meticulous patterns that accompany farmers around the world during planting season. The Airpeak S1 is a professional-grade drone, costing $9,000 from Sony Electronics.
184. Looking Down on Sunshades
Possible Drone Used: DJI Mavic 3
Where to Buy: Amazon
Cost: $2,049*
Andalusia is a large, hilly region on the Southern Coast of Spain. It is known for its beautiful architecture, rivers, and farmland, and it often has art installations such as this one. An image like this needs a drone that can capture color sharply. This could have been taken with a DJI Mavic 3. The Mavic 3 captures up to one billion colors with its 10-bit D-log color profile. It also shoots aerial shots like this one at super-high resolutions.
185. Gemsbok Oryx Walking Across the Red Sand Dunes
Possible Drone Used: Potensic D68
Where to Buy: Amazon
Cost: $250*
Martin Harvey snapped this fascinating photograph of a Gemsbok Oryx plodding across the Namibian Desert. The Oryx’s dark footprints stand out strikingly against Namibia’s red sand dunes, a famous feature of its hot desert regions. This could have been taken with a Potensic D68, a drone that does well in hot weather.

For those who are curious, the Gemsbok Oryx is a large antelope that is native to Southern Africa. It is herbivorous, and it can hit a maximum speed of 37 miles per hour running. Happily, the Oryx population is of “Least Concern,” meaning that its population is stable.
186. Giza Pyramid Complex
Possible Drone Used: Autel Evo Nano
Where to Buy: Amazon
Cost: $1,049*
Many different photographs have been taken of the Giza Pyramids, as Giza is, after all, one of the Wonders of the World. That said, it is certainly different to look upon the Giza Pyramids from an aerial view, which we get to see thanks to this photo by GLF Media.

The Necropolis, as it’s known, is located in Al Haram, Egypt. It was built during the Early Dynastic Period, and it is a testament to history. The Autel Evo Nano could have been used to snap this image, as it is a drone that Digital Camera World called one of the “best” for “travel.”

This 6.214-mile stretch is always hopping with activity, as you can see from this photo. 5th Ave’s snap could have been taken with a DJI Mavic 3, a piece of equipment that is great for urban photography. DJI Drones’ products are famous for their high-quality, which is why the company owns a huge market share of the drone industry.
