6. A Happy, Healthy Cat
Anyone who owns a pet would understand that these creatures really start to feel like family members. That’s why it’s so concerning when they get sick or hurt; the owner of this cat knows better than most. Kaia’s cat suffered from severe stomach problems after an automobile accident caused damage. Many pet owners can identify with the emotional toll that witnessing a dear pet in suffering causes. Kaia could only fall asleep lying back in a starfish posture on her back! This odd sleeping pattern not only brought her comfort but also became her trademark position. Kaia seems to have stopped napping any other way even though she recovered from the injury. It’s amazing how events shape behaviours in pets. We suppose certain things you cannot grow out of, particularly if they are really cosy. This narrative reminds us of the fortitude of animals and the unique relationship that develops between them and their owners in trying circumstances.
