Because of the enormous emerald cabochon in the middle, the Chaumet Emerald Tiara is easily worth millions of dollars. This tiara, which Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg is wearing, was ordered by Prince Felix in 1926. Felix returned a 45-carat emerald to Luxembourg so that it could be fashioned into a tiara.

The Tiara, with its inverted pear-shaped emerald in the middle, is a striking example of Art Deco design. When the Chaumet Tiara was completed by Christmas of ’26, the Grand Duchess fell in love with it right away.
