With a history dating back to 1370, the Palatine Crown—also known as the Crown of Princess Blanche—is the oldest royal crown to have existed in England. The Royal Residence Treasury in Munich is home to the Palatine Crown, which is crafted from diamonds, gold, rubies, emeralds, enamel, sapphires, and pearls.

Since England’s Princess Blanche, the daughter of King Henry IV, married Louis III, Elector Palatine, in the early 1400s, the House of Wittelsbach has held the Crown, which has been called one of the greatest feats of all time by a Gothic goldsmith.
