7. Simple Toys Were the Most Fun

How many times did you plead to visit the toy store when you were younger? Many of you who are over thirty may have come to see that some of the best toys were the most basic ones, even though these toy stores had some quite costly and amazing toys available. You know, akin to these floating toy troops! Usually found in their Christmas stockings, these were fantastic.
When may one purchase these items from fireworks? Does anyone recall? You could then see the soldiers float on down as the fireworks would blast off. Times of fun.
These plastic parachute warriors were evidence of the theory that occasionally the most entertainment value might come from the most basic toys. With just a modest toss into the air, these toys—made of lightweight plastic with a small parachute attached—could offer hours of pleasure. Children would launch these small paratroopers from windows, balconies, even treetops in afternoons, watching in wonder as they elegantly glided to the ground. Getting them to land in a designated area presented the actual difficulty; this turned an ordinary toy into a game of accuracy and skill.
These items’ incorporation in pyrotechnics packages added even more excitement. Imagine the excitement of a nightly fireworks show, with vibrant explosions lighting the heavens, then seeing these small troops drifting down the smoke and sparks. It seemed as though a small military operation was playing out right before your eyes. These parachute troops inspired imagination, outdoor play, and lifelong memories even if they look simple in comparison to modern high-tech toys. They show that occasionally the most basic toys can bring the most happiness since they reflect a period when play was simpler but nevertheless rather interesting.
