9. Curtains vs. Tulle

If vacuumed frequently, thick drapes that hang at the sides of windows should be cleaned once a year. By doing this, they keep other germs from gathering on them, including dust mites.The tulle hangs in the centre, collecting dust and debris that enters the house through open windows. It should therefore be cleaned at least once every six months. Even more frequently, the kitchen drapes should be cleaned.
