2. Recurrent flu and colds

When you feel sick, eating or drinking too much sugar prevents immune system cells from combating bacteria. Your body requires vitamin C to combat the flu, and glucose and vitamin C have very similar molecular structures. Your immune system consumes glucose, which has no efficacy against flu bugs, rather than seeking for and using vitamin C. Your immune system consequently experiences the sickness rather than being able to resist it.When you’re susceptible to a cold or the flu, limit your intake of sweets and increase your intake of fruits and vegetables that are high in minerals, vitamins C and E, beta-carotene, and zinc.
