The Titanic was built at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars, inflation included, and there was the inevitable belief that it was too big to sink. More than a century later, we can all agree that this was not the case with this fateful ship.

Its three-bladed wing propellers, which were twenty-three feet in diameter and thirty-eight tonnes in weight, were enormous. These propellers are now submerged in the ocean, serving as a startling reminder of the harshness of the sea.
