Mars is the location.
More missions have been conducted on Mars than any other object over the last few decades, and these missions have all contributed to our understanding of the Red Planet’s fairly full history. We know for sure now that it was once a wet world because it has lakes and oceans and all the elements needed for life.

Methane, especially in this situation, could be a sign of current or past microbial life; hence, planetary scientists and exobiologists are extremely interested in its presence and abundance in the Martian atmosphere.
