Alas, Qizai! Because of his odd coloring, he was teased by other pandas and, at the age of few months, his mother abandoned him. Due to a genetic abnormality, Qizai’s fur turned brown and white instead of black and white like other pandas’. The only brown panda in the world that is known to exist is Qizai. Thankfully, they discovered Qizai and brought him to the Foping Panda Valley in China, where he is now secure from abuse and prospering. At seven years old, his caregivers are trying to locate a partner for him.
