The companion of the seagull is frantically attempting to defend his friend from the bald eagle, which has the seagull in its grasp and is trying to steal his next meal. In addition to being a powerful predator, bald eagles are the state bird of the United States. Along with other birds, they hunt and kill small to medium-sized animals. They are so adept at flying that they may attack and seize prey while in the air. Sadly, gulls are a simple and delicious pleasure.
