BASE Jumping

BASE Jumping is a risky pastime that depends solely on the wind and a parachute. It entails jumping off of stationary objects and descending to the ground using a parachute. It’s forbidden in some states in the United States, claims TIME.



BASE stands for four categories of objects one can jump from: Building, Antenna, Span, and Earth. Participants leap from the structure, and after an optional freefall delay, deploy a parachute to hopefully land safely.Continue Reading Below
