© eastnewsThe complex of 1400 trullo buildings in Alberobello is well known and has been designated by UNESCO as part of the world’s historical and cultural heritage. Trullos, which are residential farmhouses made of limestone, are a rare type of structure with dry-masonry walls. The term trulla, which means dome in Latin, is the source of the name itself.
