13. Bolivian Islands Floating on Lake Titicaca, Peru
A tribe known as the Uru dwells on 42 floating islands in the Titicaca Lake at the boundary of Peru and Bolivia. The Urus themselves constructed these islands out of cane. Boats used for fishing are made from the same material. These cane islands are far from civilization, but one can observe solar panels there that allow them to watch TV.
